The story chronicles the adventures of a girl named Dorothy in the Land of Oz, the Wizard of Oz have all become part of the American vocabulary.

The Wonderful Wizard of Oz is one of my favorite books with children and although they did not read it. They feel they really must be read because they saw in the film classic 1939 Judy Garland and very familiar with the story.
