This is the story of a young red neck girl who grows up on a farm. It was quite the surprise for her parents when they saw her hovering a foot off the ground! Ever since they tried to hide her so called "talent" from other people. One day her power of flight is discovered by the community at a baseball game and everything changes. She leaves her home and goes to a school for the gifted, where she meets others with powers like her. There she makes new friends, gets a good education, and learns about an evil plot to make the super kids forget about their powers. With the help of her friends, their powers, and a singing cricket, the evil forces are defeated.
The reason my mom and I picked out this book is because of it's cover. It had us intrigued. I started reading right away. I was not disappointed. This book is amazing! Especially if you like super heroes, like me. It's so descriptive and makes you want to punch the bad guys (or in this case girls) in the face! It is very well written and has really cool characters.
